Photo Number 1452

This is a Real Photo Postcard from the antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.
Raymond and Oliver DL ant
Oliver and Raymond.  Raymond looks a little bored with the photographer.
Their Mother was following the hair rules for boys:  part their hair off to the side.

The last name could also be Dome…but the a in Raymond looks the same as the a in Dame.

This Cyko Postcard was used from 1904 to the 1920’s.  This photo was taken in 1910.

Samuel T and his wife Sophia M Dame (1880 in Ohio - 1964) had sons Raymond H (1906 in South Dakota - 1929 in Toledo, Lucas, Ohio) and Oliver C (1909 in South Dakota) along with George, Frank W, Jane and Carl.

The father, Samuel T (1883-1919 at age 36) was born in South Dakota and lived in Prairie, Union, South Dakota with a half dozen brothers and sisters.

Sophia M. remarried, in 1930 she is with Frank W Russell and her children are listed as Frank's stepchildren. Sophia and Frank are also buried in the same cemetery as Raymond and Samuel.

Oliver C. Dame married Anna V. and had a son, Robert L. (20 Jan 1934) in Toledo, Ohio.

  2. I agree: Raymond does look a little put out by the photographic process, but his little brother looks simply delighted!

    With so many details found by Iggy, here's hoping these two will find their way home soon!
