Jan 26 1911 This was taken by H. E. Bartholomew Jan 21 at Hog Town Creek 2 1/2 miles north of Gainsville. We walked out there and ate our dinner on the banks of the creek under a magnolia tree. We got pretty warm and tired coming home. We have been down here a month. We are having a fine time. Eddie and Elsie are here also I think to stay till cold storms are over al the north. Gainsville is a city of 8,000 Fine town no saloons such friendly people. We live together in furnished room. Take care of ourselves something doing every day. Elsie and I invited to visit this afternoon all going out to large Stock Farm miles from here a rig and driver tomorrow thru seated rig. Mr and Mrs Grays are going too they are old new friends.
Thanks for stopping by.

I guess traveling south for the winter was popular then, too.
ReplyDeleteI guess they would think it "pretty warm," walking all that way in those outfits!
