What's interesting is that Ernst Bolte, despite the German-sounding name, was born in Hawaii, and was apparently a widower when he married Alvina. Best I can tell from the 1930 census, they had two children in common by that time--a son and a daughter--and perhaps more by the time of the 1940 census.
It looks like the family settled in the northern California Bay area, in Berkeley. Alvina died there on January 10, 1993, but I haven't been able to locate her obituary to find any descendant information.

There are some Ancestry subscribers who include her in a family tree, but it's hard to tell if they are close relatives, since some of the trees are either extended families, or research projects of a regional geographic nature.
