This is a photo from tyhe antique shop in Detroit Lakes Minnesota.

The photographer ia AJ Lacerty  of Wausau Wis 
It is most likely a photo taken on a Confirmation Day about 1900-1910, she is holding a rolled certificate in one hand and a small book perhaps a Catechism in the other.

August Hahn Nov 25 1835 to Aug 10 1925.  He and his wife Caroline had two sons Ernst and Henry.
Possibly related through Caroline's brothers..Louis or Hiram Burnest

  1. Uncle August Hahn would appear to be Find A Grave Memorial# 161244770

    Unfortunately, ancestry.com doesn't seem to have a family tree that might indicate who this person might be.

    1. If Iggy has the right Find A Grave memorial, I wonder if this 1880 census record would shed any light on who might have been the father of this niece. Notice, along with August, his wife Caroline and their two sons "Ernest" and Fred, is a woman by name Mary Burnest (?) who is listed as mother-in-law. Notice also that, below Mary's name, are two young men listed as "boarder" whose surnames just happen to be the same as Mary's: Burnest. I wonder if Louis or Hiram Burnest eventually became the father of this young woman in the photograph.

      Elaborate corsage, by the way--if that is what it is.
